Main Hall

The Main Hall will seat approximately 100 people or 150 - 200 standing. It has a stage at one end, making it ideal for dramatic or musical events and a Kitchen available on request. The Booking charges are outlined below. You can send a booking request from this site or alternatively print it out and drop it in to the Information Centre.

Costs:
For non-commercial use: £6.00 per hour
For commercial use: £8.00 per hour
After Midnight: £12.00 per hour
Kitchen: + £3.00 per hour


Small Hall

The Small Hall will seat approximately 50 people and the Kitchen is available on request. The Booking charges are outlined below. You can send a booking request from this site or alternatively print it out and drop it in to the Information Centre.

Costs:
For non-commercial use: £5.00 per hour
For commercial use: £6.00 per hour
Kitchen: + £3.00 per hour


Committee Room

The Committee Room is ideal for small groups of up to 15 people. The Booking charges are outlined below. You can send a booking request from this site or alternatively print it out and drop it in to the Information Centre.

Costs:
For non-commercial use: £5.00 per hour
For commercial use: £6.00 per hour


Please Note: There are certain times when these facilities are not available, for example, during Carnival Week (end June/early July) and The Dartmoor Artists Exhibition (2 weeks in August)



Rules and Regulations for Hirers


All Hirers must read and agree to abide by the rules and regulations laid out below before booking any of the Ashburton Town Hall facilities.
  1. All Hirers must complete a booking form and return it to the Town Hall or Information Centre.

  2. The Council reserves the right to refuse a hirer's application and such decisions are final.

  3. The Council reserves the right to cancel a booking and upon cancellation any payments made in respect of the hirer will be refunded.

  4. The setting out and packing away of furniture, i.e. tables, chairs, shall be the responsibility of the hirer (chairs to be stacked in or on the stage area). Also all hirers must ensure cutlery and crockery is thoroughly cleaned after use.

  5. Should at any time any damage be caused to the fabric of the building, its furnishings, fittings or equipment, the hirer shall be held responsible for the payment of making good such damage.

  6. Hirers must ensure that the building is left reasonably clean and tidy. Payment for extra cleaning required as a result of the hirer leaving the building in an unreasonable condition will be the responsibility of the hirer.

  7. The hirer must ensure that any bottles or glass are disposed of. There are recycling facilities at the top of the car park.

  8. The Town Hall has an entertainment licence, which is only effective until midnight, on any night.

  9. The Town Council does not hold an alcohol licence and any such licence must be applied for by the hirer.

  10. Hirers shall at all times ensure adequate supervision for all types of functions. Stewards should be provided at the door.

  11. The hirer shall not assign, transfer, or sub-let the hiring without previous written consent of the Town Council.
